Simo Benbachir is to join Moonfest festival in Marrakech
Sofia Alami, the communication and event manager for the Argile Rouge Agency, is proud to announce the first ever Moonfest festival, a world music showcase initiated in collaboration with Mister Bouchaib Moutawakil, Governor of Hal Haouz region and including the invaluable support of the Tourism, art and crafts minister.
Moonfest is a world music festival and will be held at the beautiful location of lalla Takerkoust, a lake located 30 kilometers from Marrakech.
This festival was conceived to be a modern moussem and is a place of interaction, where Moroccan and international artists will share their experiences and give to a national and international public of all ages the best of multidisciplinary music. It will be the festival where you will discover both famous and unknown bands.
The meeting between people and music
For the first edition the chosen theme is 'The meeting between people and music': the music coming mainly from Moroccan, flamenco and tzigane genres. Artists from Spain, France and Morocco will perform on an open air central stage, between 12am and 10 pm every day throughout the festival.
Inhabitants of the neighboring villages, local associations as well as folkloric bands will participate in the festival creating a great atmosphere of inclusion and fun..
A souk on site
There will also be a mini souk on site. It is a unique occasion to discover the magnificent lake Takerkoust area where you will be welcomed warmly by its local people. There will be sporting Activities and telexing time will be proposed. Free buses will depart regularly between Marrakech and Lalla takerkoust. Restaurants and bars on site will be open to the festival goers, all in a convivial and friendly ambiance.
